About This Programme
Initiated in February 2024 with support from the Azim Premji Foundation (APF), this BCT-led initiative addresses the economic and social challenges faced by tribal and rural communities. This project encompasses agriculture, rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and entitlements. Initial efforts focused on establishing an office in G. Madugula in the ASR district to engage with tribal communities in two panchayats comprising 70 villages. Simultaneously, the existing BCT office was readied for operations in rural areas, focusing on agriculture interventions in 17 villages and PwD rehabilitation in 63 villages. This initiative aims to foster holistic development by addressing critical aspects of the tribal and rural communities' lives.

Key Highlights
How We Work
Awareness Meetings
Conducted regularly across villages, during suitable times to ensure maximum farmer participation. These are facilitated by Project Coordinator, Project Director, Agriculture Trainer. Key points discussed include principles of natural farming, use of green manuring, transplanting techniques in paddy for better yields, etc.
Livelihood support for PwDs
After establishment of business, a few PwDs can manage independently, but most beneficiaries depend on their families. This support is provided to families.
