Rural woman entrepreneurs with popular TV Actor and anchor Mrs. Suma

About This Programme

Grameena Incubation Centre (GIC) has been a catalyst for agricultural innovation and rural entrepreneurship since 2020. Over a span of six years (2020–2026), GIC has supported 15 startups across cohorts — spanning Agritech, HealthTech, Food & Nutrition, and Waste Recycling sectors.

GIC provides financial grants (EiR and Scale-up/Investment Grants), mentorship, technical guidance, and networking support to nurture early-stage startups through their growth journey.

GIC's Rural Nano Entrepreneurship Programme is a grassroots initiative of BCT–GIC aimed at promoting livelihood-oriented micro and nano enterprises in rural areas, with a particular focus on women and persons with disabilities above 35 years of age. During the period October 2025 to February 2026, the programme conducted entrepreneur training across Anakapalli and parts of Visakhapatnam districts, positioning itself as a bridge between self-help driven enterprise ideas and structured incubation support.
