Born into a poor agricultural laborer family in Penagolu Dharmavaram, Durga Prasad studied up to 8th class in his village, where he was considered a struggling student. Hoping for a better future, his parents enrolled him in BCT Residential High School for 9th class in the 2023–24 academic year.
When he joined, he was far behind academically. But the nurturing environment, dedicated teachers, and holistic education at BCT changed his life. Beyond academics, he also learned vocational skills, social animation, and even folk arts like playing the Dappu.
With the school’s constant support, he worked hard and scored 471 marks in the 10th class. From a struggling student with low self esteem, Durga Prasad emerged to become confident and smart.
